Anybody port/polish turbo, O2, exh (pics)

I've seen that UR ported their stock exh manifold (maybe O2 and turbine housing?).
I pulled mine apart to do all the above. I see alot of oportunity for increased flow. Port matching both ends of the exh manifold, port matching turbine housing, polishing turbine outlet and porting and polishing the O2 housing. Some light polishing in the compressor outlet.
I know they have been doing this on DSMs for years.
Has anybody done this or know why we shouldn't?
I'll attach some pics in 5 mins.

I did this on my Eclipse when I got my big 16-G, and was wondering the same thing with the Evo, curious also...

Turbine outlet, note carbon. This is where it can be ported, anlong with polishing the outlets.

Turbo side of manifold, with gasket in place. See how much can be cleaned up.

Turbine housing inlet, with gasket. Again, more porting potential.

It's still fun to drive.

I've got a die grinder and stone wheels, I just need some cartrige rolls and cross buffs. I've never done this so I will error on the conservative side. I'll match the ports, clean up the flash and sharp edges, and polish what I can. I'd sure like some tips if anybody is experienced in this.

Hmmm, I used carbide grinders......but stone will work too, its going to eat up your stone before you do any real grinding of metal. Nice smooth strokes, keeping it even is the key, wear a dust mask if you got one and safety glasses, the little metal shavings get EVERYwhere. Let me see if I can find a pic of what type of insert I used to do mine......(BTW im a machinist and work on metal all day)
