couldnt you just buy the modified dipstick holder and put the breather on the extra port that comes off the dipstick? Then you could have a vent and keep your dipstick in.

Thats what i plan to do. I dont want to do a catch can set up so i figured it would make sense to test out my idea first before spending 200+ dollars on Buschurs modified tube. It looks like it vents enough this way that putting a filter on the Buschur tube would actually solve the problem.

I just ordered the dipstick, they say run the extra port to the bottom of the catch can, I was just going to put a filter on the port to see how it works first, before tryin to run the extra line to the bottom of the can. You have proved it seems to work pretty good. I sure hope so.

Really... not everyone has the time to go thru 28 pages, I read most but obviously missed the part where he mentioned which ones he bought and how he hooked it up.

I mean the spring on the dip stick worked too but doing it that way keeps a lot of pressure in there and against the seals. This way is obviously releaving enough pressure that it no longer explodes up the tube... i mean the filter has some residue in there but nothing excessive or soaking wet.

Do you have to have an electric water pump in order to run a hose from that rear balance shaft hole? I've looked at welding a -10 fitting there and running a line from it to a catch can but wasn't sure what else would need to be modified.

There are plenty of great catch cans out there so that you don't have to purchase a HONDA catch can and relocate your battery. Ill stick with my 14lb mini battery kit that I made and my DC3 split catch can setup. Why would you want to add more weight to the car with a battery box, 15 ft of 0 gauge wire and a kill switch for NHRA tracks...

Because once you actualy have a fast car you need the kill switch anyways.

haha...Well, I guess you have never been to Englishtown before...Fast car or not, if your battery is not in the engine bay, you better have a kill switch mounted in the rear somewhere...When I lived in North & South Carolina that wasn't a problem...

I pretty much copied tscompusa's setup exactly, but added the extra vent on the valve cover, and extra inlet on can. The diagram above is exactly what I'm running.

I had a local guy drill/tap my valve cover, as well as drill out the riveted baffles and re-revit them back on to get all the shavings out for $60.

2.4, FP Black, E85, ran into crank case issues around 450 and needed a spring to hold down the dip stick. I no longer run a spring. I've only got about 500 miles on it so far, but it seems to be doing its job very well.

Thanks tscompusa for all the info and links!

no problem man! glad it worked out. let me know if you get any oil in your can running the 2 outlets on the valve cover side.. i dont get any oil in mine, but i suspect you may due to the extreme ventilation. let me know.

btw no need for zipties on the outlets. mine hasnt moved yet, and i was boosting 42psi.
