cool post it up! sounds like my setup minus the pcv delete. why i kept the pcv is beyond me.. but it works.

I think someone told me to use it for vacuum assistance on cruising around.

haha yeah, I figured the 2 check valves will work good enough, especially since the pcv is known to leak under boost anyway...Between the catch can setup and Synapse DV the car is cruising real smooth...I haven't even tuned the car yet...should be doing that this weekend depending on weather...

I think i have the pcv cause i was to lazy to buy the nice STM fitting lol. cause ya, i remember telling you i have a check valve in front of it in case it leaks.. so that makes no sense lol.. i should just remove the damn thing!

Ya you'll notice it will behave a bit smoother and feel more vented.. its one of the best mods you could do for your engine. most people overlook this.

in reality you dont even need catch cans, but i wanted to suck from the intake pipe because a bunch of people told me to do so.. places like fp, cbrd, garrett (honeywell), etc.

so ill prob just end up getting a SD intake so i can run it back through there.. the vacuum produced from the turbo helps quite a bit, similar to a venturi effect from an exhaust tapped.

Yeah I used the STM rear fitting and then got a 6AN fitting like this one...

Almost forgot I threw the Kiggly HLA in there also...

For higher HP, 6an or the stock VC nipples are too small and can't vent enough. I have proven a 10whp gain with better venting (Hals oil cap vent).

^^^Exactly...On my setup the 6AN on the rear fitting shouldn't make a difference. Depending on tune & boost Ill sit around 450whp+ on 93 oct. If I was closer to say 550-600whp then I probably would have done a larger fitting in the rear too...

The rear is really important on road race cars, but the side is fine for a drag car for the most blowby relief.

What are the "Cons" of running a big AN fitting on a Daily Driver? I will be doing this once i drop the built motor in, but i dont want to go to big in case i decide to take the car out for some cruises or to work.

So there are no negative side effects of running breather fittings too big? It would seem like you would lose too much oil if the car is driven for long periods of time.

it not going to spit any oil with a -10 AN on the side of the valve cover.. the evo valve covers are baffled extremely well.
