I keep seeing more and more talk about light weight rear sway bar...and you and 03, have me thinking about pulling my heavier then stock (2-3lbs) 27mm Progress sway bar off the car and get something lighter. I've had the Progress on there for 4 yrs now and enjoyed the handling improvement I got over the stock rear one. The Progress bar is solid and obviously stiffer then stock. My car is not just a straight line car, Autox & road course as well. The Hotchkis bar is hollow, only 24mm but probably 6-7lbs lighter then my Progress bar. From what I can find the Hotchkis is 2mm larger then stock and I'm sure slightly stiffer. The weight difference would be worth it but I am hoping I wouldn't loose any handling performance going to a sway bar that is 3mm smaller and not as stiff. So what do you think Dan, do you think I would loose some handling performance and be able to feel the handling difference between the 2 bars??

Ill give my honest opinion. I have absolutely no idea. I bought the front and rear sway bars for one reason only. Dropping weight. 03 would be your best bet to answer that question. Sorry bud.

Thanks. There a bit heavyer then expected but whatever. Gonna pull out the megans and weigh them this week.

On a side note I think im going to have a aluminum dp back exhaust made. I already have a custom br 3.5 dp back with TI muffler that is light as hell for a 3.5 exhaust but if I can get more off then why not. Got to do some reading on that some first. But im pretty sure I want it.

I spoke to him. Great guy. If the time frame is right I may have him do it. But he said he is busy and could not get it done right now. Which is nice of him to tell me.

i pulled the rear megan coilovers out of the car and weighed them. there 9.0lbs. the N1 coilovers are 8.2 lbs. ill pull the fronts out later and see what they weigh. i dont expect much difference because looking at the 2 rear coilovers togeather they look exactly the same. the only difference is the spring. one is longer then the other. and IMO thats the .8 lb difference. lets see what the fronts weigh in at.
