but did it get rid of the flutter? mine holds 30psi strong and consistent, its just the flutter i dont like.
just got off the phone with fullrace and they are finishing up my dump pipe and sending it off monday so ill be able to try all the suggestions end of next week hopefully.

Bump for this issue. Mine is nowhere near as bad as the video's posted by the OP, but there's definintely a flutter occurring as the turbo builds up to peak boost (26psi) between 3500-4000rpm. I thought it was comp surge...

I'm running an FP Green (non HTA) with 18psi WG actuator and all the usual supporting mods.

I just changed over from an Apexi AVCR to the Grimmspeed for ECU based boost control. No other changes and now I get this flutter sound, whereas on the AVCR it never occurred

Does everyone have port 1 on the Grimmspeed routing back to the intake pipe? See attached. Someone mentioned that it's more 'optimal' to remove the hose which hooks up to the intake?

WG flutter...(video)-gsports.jpg

Will try and post up a video soon too.

Just to confirm, removing the line from port 1 on the Grimmspeed to the intake pipe didn't fix the flutter. I just tried it then

Seems that the Grimmspeed just doesn't like too much WGDC. If it's backed off, then it doesn't flutter, if you bring it back up to hit target boost, it flutters again...

holy ****.. i didnt know this thread was still going.

well supposedly the fix for this is in the tuning. you can tune the BCS a certain way to get rid of the flutter. I havent gone in for a tune in a while so i havent gotten it checked out. as soon as i get a tune and get the flutter resolved ill post up here with how my tuner did it.

I have the same issue when using the 8MR turbo with the Grimmspeed 3port (at 1.3bar using a 1.3bar wastegate). Sounds like I'm not the only one having the same issue.

Just switched to the Grimmspeed 3-port (from an MBC)... and now I am getting this too!

It doesn't appear to be effecting performance as far as I can tell... is anyone actually having performance issues or is everyone just pissed because of the annoying noise it makes?

its more the scary compresser surge-esque sound

its defo wastegate like you say, i did some tests and i doubt my car surges at 1 bar lol

fixing it would be good but its not a high priority for me at the moment

Same issue here I think.. but I added the Grimmspeed (also running Hallman MBC), Turbosmart Race Port and also went SD at the same time.. So I am nto sure which is the culprit. Video:

^ That sounds more like compressor surge/ BOV surge, but i could be wrong, but i get WG flutter when i hit peek boost and BOV surge if i release throttle at mid to high boot levels with my synapse. ill try making a vid tomorrow
