Question late spool on a 50 trim (help)

looked through other threads but didnt really see anything on my issue. im in the process of building a beast but still new to the 4g63 from the honda game. my evo currently has a agp 50 trim on it which starts spooling around 3700 and doesnt hit full boost of 23psi till around 4300. any ideas as to what may be the issue? i have been told thats real late for a 50 trim.
my currant mods are:

hks 272's
large fmic
turbotrix upper and lower icp
turbotrix gt turbo kit w/ tubular manifold
agp 50 trim turbo
forge blowoff and wastegate
3" tbe
880cc injectors
walbro 255 pump
3" intake w/ k&n
tuned on stock ecu @ 23psi

anyone have any ideas what i should look at??

went throught the thread but all they do is debate which turbo would be better for his set up and stake claims on when the 35r actually hits full boost. didnt see anything on the 50 trim spooltimes and when i spoke to the guy at agp while trying to order the new turbo for my 600+ build he stated that im spooling quite late for my turbo and that i might have an issue somewhere. im just wondering where a good place to start lookin might be

if it was tuned in the summer then theres your answer. afr's need reset again if on stock ecu. aim for 12.5 AFR and be done.

make a boost leak tester: read this for quick reference: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html

basically putting pressure through the engine via the turbo inlet and listening for leaks and watching boost gauge.. soap and water in a spray bottle also assists in finding leaks via bubbles.

Question tscomp...what does temperature have to do with spool? I have always heard that a turbocharged car loves cold weather but does it affect performance that much? I notice my car sputtering from time-to-time and revs bouncing back and forth occasionally. I was also tuned in the summer time.

well if thats the case and its not a boost leak then i will just wait because i plan on doing a aem ems for my build im doing and looking at 2.4 longrod set up so not to worried about the spool times for the larger turbo since im only doing the .63ar with it

cooler air is denser, which results in more power. also hotter air makes the turbo work harder to maintain boost pressure. hotter air also makes richer AFR vs colder / denser air has more oxygen due to the density of the molecules being closer together.

Stock ecu is the most powerful ECU you'll ever find for your Evo. Its your money though.

You can have multiple tunes with map switching on the stock ecu. Buschur racing sells a quick map switching kit. Check it out: https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...76f1c073e76aee
