would injector dynamic 1000's be enough for my setup

I have a friend selling a set for a good price but im not sure if its enough for my setup. I will be doing a 93 map and an e85 map also for the track. I have a buschur cast manifold 3065 kit with gsc S2 cams and all supporting mods and maybe leaving my aquamist kit on if I don't do e85 for a while. I know pump gas should be fine but e85 I think will out do them. Any input is appreciated guys

if your going e85 I would go fic 1450 seems to be the perfect number if its just pump those injectors are more then fine. Yes you could tune those injectors for e85 but expect them to be maxed quickly

You would most likely max them out.

You should know what your goals are for your car and just plan accordingly. For example, I went with the FIC 1250s because I plan on stopping around the 500whp mark, which with a double pumper should leave me a little room in case I go over.

Here's a good article about it from English Racing. http://englishracing.net/tech/2008/1...85-fuel-future

Good luck!

The Rockster has it right...Probably 1450's to accomodate the fuel requirements of the E-85 on that 3065. Maybe you could squeak by with the 1000cc nozzles on a Meth tune but for pump you might need the 1250's. So, as Rock says just do the 1450's right off the bat.

1450's are a little over kill if you ask me.

as I was once told, 1250's are enough to surpass the capabilities of the stock block and are great for e85. Thats what I went with on my 35r with a double pumper. My engine is doing just fine and theres enough room to grow. i will build my block eventually but still believe the 1250's will do just fine around my goal of 500hp.

so my opinion...save a few bucks and go with 1250's or maybe even 1200's. I recently ordered 1200's for a buddy that will be running an fp black on e85 and stock block.

contact mike from AWD for a great deal

I would say 1250 FICs or 1200 RCs would do the job

I think ID 1000's will be enough for e85 on the 3065 cast kit, thats the smaller version of that turbo and the cast manifold limits top end.

Im on a ported IX turbo, E85, and the ID1000s and I am almost out of injector @27psi. I wouldn't recommend you getting them as you will run out quickly. FIC1100's aren't quite enough so 1450's are probably your best bet if you want high impedance.

Remember you need to bypass the resistor box with these injectors.

I agree with EvoIan. I am also at the limit of the ID1000's on E85 with an 8 turbo (10.5 hotside) maxed out. If you have an estimate of your crank HP, RPM, target AFR you can calculate the size injector you need while allowing for whatever max inj duty cycle you are comfortable with (like 80-85%).

With E85, 1000cc injectors will get 500whp, 1250s 600+whp. This assumes one has a double pump setup.

If one is using E85 and does not have a dual fuel pumps, rail pressure will start dropping around 380-400whp, and he may incorrectly interpret the high duty cycle as the end of injector capacity. Just keep in mind that reduced rail pressure is an efficient way to reduce power. E85 doesn't atomize well as it is, much less when it's dribbling out of the injectors.

FYI

you should defiantly go with at least 1200CC nothing less.
