Whats the difference between the GT and the GTX versions? I see alot of people are criticizing that these turbo housing's go the opposite way as the stock one, but aren't all GT turbos this way in the first place

Also, aren't those numbers a little low? I mean, they are on E85... Those are HKS GTII on E85 numbers... I was expecting quite a bit more.

Also, what's up with this turbo? Any info would be appreciated. Keep in mind I know almost nothing about turbos .

The setup ATP had on the test car wasn't that great. Its not really the direction of the goes its how its made with the hard angle of the hotside not allowing perfect flow. GT turbos have a stock inlet compressor housing. GTX turbos have the Garrett 4 inch inlet compressor housing with anti-surge ports....

^^that turbo works with a stock exhaust manifold but obviously can not use a stock downpipe...

Thanks alot for the info! However, what do you mean by the setup not being that great? Do you mean the supporting mods on the car?

Unnamed 272 cams, that most likely are HKS 272's which are crap cams, unported exhaust and intake manifold, stock throttle body which I guarantee was leaking at the seals during the test, an unknown brand 3 inch intercooler which COULD be choking the larger turbo, stock upper IC pipe which may or may not be a problem depending on if they are using stock couplers or not, and no reference to the boost level on the "HIGH BOOST E-85 TUNE"

Thats's what he meant about the setup not being that great

Exactly No name cams, unported stock mani, stock UICP...The stock intake mani & TB are probably alright, as I've seen plenty cars make good power with those...Also the dyno chart above is from a GT series turbo not even a GTX, so there should be some more gains there...The peak tq is pretty nice but it drops off pretty bad...

The GTX will not peak up any spool according to the comparisons on Subaru but it will make more power , the response is also greatly increased.

Thanks for the info! I would like to know how does this turbo compares to an FP Red in terms of power and spool up? Would this be a nice turbo for 93 pump on a stock block with:

ETS 3.5 FMIC w/pipes
GSC S2 Cams
Megan 02
Perrin TBE
Ported exh. mani
PTE 1000
