Bad lifters?
I had some FP4R cams installed recently and now I am gettin a lot of valvetrain noise. It doesnt make any noise at idle, and is the worst when it is cold between 2500 and 3500 RPMs. Once it is above those RPMs the sounds seems to go away and it is not quite as bad when warmed up. I have researched and I am almost positive that it is lifter tick. But it hasn't gone away, could this be a collapsed lifter? Also, would it just be better to replace my lifters? If so, which lifters seem to be good. Seems like alot go with JAM lifters and MAP also sells some ITM ones. Anyone used either of these and have any feedback? Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem I put kelford 280's in my car then the tune shop said they wouldnt tune my car because it was getting a knock somewhere in the valvetrain. So it could be a collapsed but most likely its not. I'm pretty sure mine was collapsed because I had a lot of ticking at idle and when I reved up to 3000 RPM it got worse. I just bought a pair of jam lifters and they quited down a good amount.

WERE THE LIFTERS BLED ON INSTALL?????
There is also a procedure for in car bleeding that consists of slowly ramping the throttle to 3krpm holding it there for 10 sec then lift and repeat 10-20 times or so.
Do these before you go spend money on new lifters that you do not need

I believe the tech bled them on install yes, and I have tried the other procedure and it didnt help. This is why I believe I may have a collapsed lifter and I dont want any problems down the road.
