Using penzoil synchromesh
Amazing the amount of BS spewed on the forum HUH. Scare Tactics suck
6-10k. Normally do it every 3rd oil change. Sometimes sooner. Depends How I feel

I've used MT90 and noticed it doesn't last that long in my ride. When I change it out, there were a bunch of metal shavings. I recently switched to Pennzoil and honestly the car shifts smoother and the biggest difference, at cold start up, I no longer have to fight to get into gears until the car warms up. I'm changing it out every other oil change since it's so cheap, so that might make the difference compared to changing out every 10K miles.
I cannot seem to find the viscosity on the MSDS sheet or marketing material - which is odd. Also, I thought we needed to be careful on the type of fluid as some can destroy softer metals found in the Evo transmission (brass) ???
So the proper oil for us 6spd'ers is 75w-85 GL4.....

I have to wait at least a week for my amsoil to come. I am just debating whether I should just run valvoline 75w90 or penzoil.. thats all I have available local... or maybe mix them..
I used it for 65K and was very happy with the way it helped with shifts. The fluid was thin but I didn't get a high amount of metal shavings after every change at 10K. I then switched to MTG by Amsoil and shift quality suffered because it is thicker but the MTG should last 3x as long and protect better.

I have also read good stuff about running 2 quarts of redline mt90 with one quart on redline mtl. When I was running amsoil mtg my trans was pretty notchy even when warmed up. I switched to the pennzoil and shifted very nice, but I Heard it doesn't protect the trans.
