ECUtek or OpenECU?

I was going to post this in the ECUtek board but this forum seems to get a lot more visibility... I am the second owner of my IX, I bought it used back in 2008. The original owner had the following mods installed, then purchased an ECUtek license and had the car tuned:
- Taipan XP TBE
- Greddy Profec B-Spec II EBC

I purchased the car in Tennessee, and live in Connecticut, so having a re-tune done at the same place is out of the question for me. I am about to install the following:
- ETS Intake & LICP
- Kelford 272's
- Walbro 255
- Precision 880cc's
- Titek O2 housing

My local tuner (EFI Logics) does not tune ECUtek. I have searched the internet and have not found conclusive evidence that the ECUtek license will improve the performance, or driveability of my car once it's tuned. That said, my question is: Should I keep the ECUtek, or go with OpenECU?

It seems to me that no one is using ECUtek anymore, and I haven't been able to figure out why. Thanks guys!

Thanks, I'll need to find out if the tuner can make changes to the ECU or if it's locked by ECUtek.

The ECUtek board on this site only has a few posts per year that's why I posted here.

Ecutek lost the Evo market several years ago....Seriously doubt any reputable tuners are still using it for the Evo. EcuFlash is the way to go....If your ECU is locked it is EASY to unlock.
