oil/fluid leaking/burning after clutch replacement?

i recently had the clutch replaced on my Evo 9. AFter the job i noticed a nasty burning smell coming from under the car. it seems that the technician just let all the hydraulic fluid dump on the downpipe and after heating up started to smell. I thought it would just burn off after a while, but it's been about 2K miles since the job and i still notice the burning - AND - some oil/fluid stains on the driveway. they only seem to be increasing also.

I've checked both the oil and hydraulic break fluid reservoir - but it doesnt seem to be lowering.

is this a normal issue after a clutch job?

It would help if you could tell us what color and where under the car the fluids are coming from. Unfortunately something can drip on the downpipe and the wind can splatter it all over your undercarriage. There are alot of areas that fluids can get trapped in on the braces and dump out later also. You could always go at it with a pressure washer carefully covering the electrical components to push some of the fluids out also. Do you park on a flat surface over night? How much drips out each night, dime, nickel, quarter size? Did you check your ACD fluid reservoir by the driver's headlight? You only mentioned checking oil and brake fluid. Did you check the levels of your trans/tcase fluid and the filler/drain plugs on both to make sure they were tightened down? If they were refilling and left the fill off or loose it could be sloshing out. The trans fill/drain are alot easier to get to than the t-case. The t-case filler can be tricky, the drain is straight forward

thanks for the help. it ended up being grease from my axle. The boot came off and the seal ended up breaking. it was slinging grease all over the downpipe and surrounding area. $11 part and 1.5 hours in labor later - the problem is fixed.

i'm just happy it had nothing to do with the new clutch and clutch job.
