My plan is to switch to E85 after I install my GT35R with FIC 1450cc injectors and Buscher Racing double pumper.
What is the gas mileage that I will get with E85 vs 91 pump gas?
I know that the bigger injectors and double pumper will use more gas so how will this affect my gas mileage (evo 8 gets between 24-26 hwy and 17-19 in town).

180-220 each tank, with mostly cruising, this was fp3065 and blaq ops progressive double pumper
its pretty easy not to hit boost with a bigger turbo

I get 19 on the highway on E85 and 15 combined. On gas I get 19 combined and 23.5 on the highway. GT3586.

Also greater MPG can be achieved with a better than stock ignition and frequent plug changes.
I also will notice quite a bit better MPG on E75 vs E90 summer

u guys only get 93oct in the states?
thats standed regular in the uk, premium, the best we get is 97oct, which is sold more or less everywhere, thats probably why the uk gets the fq400, fq360 etc
EDIT:
tesco offers 99oct

Why is fuel economy a question you are even asking? Just curious.
Kinda like going to a biker bar to pick up women and then wondering why they all have tattoos. Just sayin'.

e85 will get you the best power out of all of those gas types by far.
On stock turbo i've gotten 22mpg highway with e85 and 28 mpg on pump gas. Power difference is substantial though.

Your 98 oct (RON) is our 90 oct (MON). Originally Posted by wmmt3dx

Remember you can also tune for a leaner gas scale a/f ratio on E85 vs. 93. If your injector can handle a low duty cycle (1450's can) you can run as lean as 16.5 to 1 (gas scale display) without any issues. This helps level the playing field for gas milage when comparing E85 to 93.
You'll still be using more E85 vs. 93, but not as much vs. trying to maintain a 14.7 to 15.1 a/f on cruise as you would on 93.

We actually use the average of RON and MON, or AKI (anti knock index). It's stated in the link you posted.. lolOriginally Posted by Dallas J

I think that would make the UK's 98 RON comparable to our 93 AKI. Correct me if I'm wrong.
