Most of the Evo's here use Jacks as he is local and stands behind his work. I had a problem (or so I thought) and he came up and gave me his truck for a week while he worked on it. Never had a problem.

He work and his service are a cut above the rest and although he does work strange hours its his business and feels he can get more done working those hours.

there's a reason why their names are mentioned.

TRE has done excellent work for me in the past and when/if I need more trans/driveline work TRE will get the call!

All though I have never heard a bad thing about Shep either.

i believe they're all good at what they do. i guess i rolls down to who is closer in distance to you and who will get your drivetrain back to you in a timely fashion.

Jacks has done most all the badass evo (and dsm) trannys around Colorado. Plenty of 10sec cars who get ripped on daily.

If you have lots of time to spare and want to save money send it to Jon at TRE. Expect to wait at least 2 months.

If you want quick turn around time and willing to spend some coin send it to Shep.

If you want pop can shims (found in my old 'race' trans) in your transmisson, send it to Jacks.

We have TRE stage 2.5 transmissions in stock and Shep Street/Strip with all options including 4:11 final drive in stock.
PM me if your interested.

I know this isn't part of the 3 choices, but does anyone have firsthand experience with Dogbox?

Jon@ TRE has my entire drivetrain in his pocession right now. Is he difficult to get in contact with? Absolutely, but worth it and when you do speak with him you will realize very quickyly that this guy is a"Class Act". His knowledge will impress the crap out of you. If you ask me, for the services he offers, he's more than reasonably priced.

I have Shep TC and Buschur Trans. Not a problem with either and was back on the road in about a month.

I also live in NJ and I have heard a lot of DSM guys use them. My friend has also gotten his transfer case for his EVO built there and so far he is happy. They have a pretty good turn around and I was also considering them to do my transfer case and tranny. They do have a 8sec EVO with their "rebuilt" tranny and transfer case so it gotta hold up right?

There are more fast EVO's running a Bushwacker trans than any other brand, end of story. I can say that with confidence since we've built more 9 second EVO's and I know they all have our trans in them. Shepherd builds a great trans too. I've had experiences with other shops and will say if I couldn't have my brother Dan do my trans here, I'd have Shepherd do it. Luckily for me, we can do them in house.

$850 for our Stage 1, which is what my RS runs 9.0's on and what our black car ran 8.8's at 172 on. Turn around time is about a week, we are here everyday and you can reach us by phone or email anytime from 9-6 Mon-Fri.
