Anybody advise not getting a rebuild kit for an Exedy triple disc? or at least what comes in a kit? Seems like everything gets wear and everything should be replaced, except for the front housing so lookin for what comes in a rebuild kit at least to see if I should go this route or go for a totally different brand or style clutch.

 

So how many miles did you get out of the Exedy triple?

Did you drag race it or take it on the track or just drive it around in a spirited fashion?

The car's never been to the track since the new motor/clutch/trans and I bought the car with 30k miles, now has 33k, the kid I got it from put on 2k miles, I put on 3k, he rarely drove it, only on nice days occasionally. I don't know how he drove it but I know he wasn't a maniac or careless. I drove it everyday I could but never dumped the clutch or abused it for that matter. Only got in boost when the clutch was fully engaged and rarely "raced".
Even a triple disc was overkill for a car making in the 550 hp (guesstimating) area so even if it was abused it should be able to take it cuz it's made for serious setips. I wasn't at Buschur when they put it in, I hoped they torqued everything down properly but I don't trust anyone hence why I do everything myself except tuning. Going to check all the bolts today and hope to find something loose but plan on getting a clutch....looking at getting a twin of some sort
