you drain the majority from the tank then close everything back up...you could just start the car and run it til it stops. that burns up all the fuel in the lines and rails.

If you know your gonna be wanting to drain your tank in the future sometime its not a bad idea to put one of these in place of the oem drain plug in the tank. http://www.qwikvalve.com/ They have one with an adapter you can attach a hose on to make drainng easier.

Has anyone found a quick drain style plug that works well for CT9A evo fuel tanks? Smallest I have found is M10, we need M8. I don't think using adapters would be a good move since the opportunity for leaks would be greater. Not to mention, it would lower the drain location significantly creating opportunity for something to hit and damage it.

I was not aware that we had a drain plug on our gas tanks...and i've dropped my tank before ...LOL

I've always drained my fuel tank by T-ing the fuel return line so that some fuel still goes back to the tank to siphon fuel from the opposite side, keeping the venturi effect intact.

If my tank is already past E, i'll just connect straight to the fuel pump housing and power the pump using Evoscan.
