I don't even like to use zip ties on vacuum fittings myself. This time around when I installed the Red I used 1/4" hose clamps on all the boostline fittings. I don't like zipties. It seems that you can always rotate(spin) a ziptied hose on a nipple. Never tried the hairspray trick myself. My mom uses hairspray though.
