I searched but it seems nobody is worried about it.

Does anyone have long term experience on E85 or pure ethanol and the risk of a rusty fuel tank?

 

There's been people running it for years and no one has made a single failure thread...EVER...so just run it and have fun.

 

i ran it for 2 days and the entire tank rusted completely

 

 

I have had ethanol in my tank for almost 3 years, and it is shiny as hell on the inside.

Ive been running e85 for almmost a yr...no rust,and still smile every time i drive it..

In almost two years I´ve posted only a hundred times. Be sure, I´m a researcher, not a poster

I was curious because ethanol E96 is common in Brazil, but it´s very corrosive.

High octane is adicting, though it has lower mileage comparing to gas.

I´ll give it a try
