Help with first mods please.

Looking for some opinions from people here. My car is all stock except an Injen intake and intercooler piping. (I am aware and living with the common problems associated with an intake and no tuning) My plan is to get a tune in the next few weeks. That being said I'll have $1000-$1100 or so for fun money now. I checked with a local shop and they said they'd do a dyno tune for $350. That gives me $650-$750 now for parts. My car an 03 VIII has a new stock motor and rebuilt head. My thinking is Megan downpipe, testpipe, cat back, Hallman MBC. Then tuning. I know Megan is not the highest quality product but not horrible either and very affordable. My car is strictly a DD and mostly just looking for fun driving it'll not likely ever see a track of any kind. So the question; is this a good way to spend the money or should I do something else? Any suggestions would be helpful and appriciated. Additionally with the above set up would I need an O2 housing?

Thanks in advance for the help.

It depends on what type of power you are looking for. Since its a DD you might want to start with an exhaust, fuel pump, boost controller, and a tune. Of course, if you want more power then you can consider other things such as cams or a bigger turbo.

More importantly, your location says you are in oregon. If that is the case the shop you should be going to is English Racing. They are in Camas Wa. (near Vancouver) just across the river.

I'm thinking later I'll do cams and a turbo. The idea is a minor foundation I can add to later. How bad do I need a fuel pump initially?

If your upping your boost you'll need a fuel pump. My friend couldn't even up his boost 2 psi without getting fuel cut. I personally would skip the mbc and go with ecu controlled boost.
