Hello all, i just purchased my 8 mr and it has the buschur racing mini battery kit and if i charge the battery itll last with me moving the car out the garage and back in for a day then dies. also i know a old way to test alternators are pull the pos terminal cable while car running if it doesnt cut off its supposed to be good well mine cuts off with new and old alternator on. Both tested at autozone and advance and passed. how can i test the battery if its bad im just going to relocate to trunk with oem size. Thanks for your help!!

congrats on joining the family... sorry to hear about the battery. that doesnt really make sense to me though. a car should run on the alternator unless its not connected to the wiring harness.
when you disconnect the battery and the car stays running its because its supplying power to the fuse box threw the battery terminal. same thing the battery does when you start the car.

if it dies it means theres a break in the connection between the two... fuse box/ alternator. it would be the main one under the hood only. dont go chasing ghosts. check for broken wiring or poor connections in that area. also the alternator might have a bad output cable. on the battery terminal there is a cable with a 100 amp fuse on it. thats the alternator. check that fuse and check where it connects to the back of the alternator. there are also 2 8 guage wires running from the pos terminal to that main fuse box. make sure they have a good connection and havent been tapped for a subwoofer or some ghetto ****.

best of luck bro. watch out with the relocation... mines been in for a year or so and its starting to get weak on power. idk why i have to take a look sometime soon.

Thats weird bro. I thought that you have to disconnect the negative terminal to do the test? I may be wrong though? Something might be staying on while the car is off, to keep killing that battery? It is well known that, the small batterys dont last that long. Everyone I know has this problem with small batterys.

its a buschur racing battery. But yeah im doing the relocation and i have a bit stronger battery since is going to have a longer way to travel also i will be checking the wires from the fuse box to alternator because the fuse on the + terminal is good any pointers or advice? Thanks!! ( BTW i think it may a fuse elsewhere because none of the oem gauges work nor the radio does anyone have a wiring diagram?
