DIY Intake for EVO

Has anyone tried to make one of these DIY intakes for the EVO? Curious to get impressions of quality as well as any potential results.

very cool. You would have to take a lot of things into account while making it though. Plenum volume, runner length, and other fun technical stuff I dont know about lol.

I think your best bet is to look at one of those crazily overpriced ones, and try to make it like that... It takes a lot of research and a lot of trial and error to make one that works well

You could purchase just the plenum as shown below and mate it up to the DIY to save money. Beats the $2200 price tag for the bolt on EVO version shown in the 1st pic.

Looks like parts alone comes out to $490. I think I would rather snag a used good known one off the forums for that price.
