HKS Ti Question

We all know the carbon ti tapers down to 2.5 vs being 3' all the way... should I have this corrected or will it not make that much of a change? Any dyno before/after? thanks

I had my local muffler shop cutoff the 2.5" flange that tapers and add on a 3" to make it a true 3" catback. Also had my resonator on the b-pipe section removed ftw

What exactly does the resonator section do? Ive never actually seen inside one... how restrictive is it? I have a muffler shop across the street from me, I am just afraid of them ruining a nice exhaust with poor welds... >.<

All a resonator does is just tones down the sound

In you opinion is the exhaust without the resonator too loud for a daily driver?

And i dont mean loud as in bothersome to me (i would gladly run an open DP 100% of the time lol) but if it would get the laws attention non stop or not.

Imho I've gone threw soo many exhaust lol If your gonna mess up an HKS exhaust to make it a "true" three inch then you might as well get an ebay "tsudo" exhaust. Cuz It's gonna end up looking the same. The resinator on it just gives it that low tone that hks is and makes. The hi power is by far my favorite exhaust out there. well whatever you do as long as you like it and don't care of the new modified exhaust that's all up to you brO

Thanks for the replies! I am leaving the resonator on there. I like the sound and tone. It is much quieter than the tbe apexi I had on my GSX.
