700whp clutch?

Looking for the best clutch for this hp. I dont want any lockout and would like it to last a few miles since it is still mainly a street car. The setup is a 9000rpm 2.0 if that makes a differance.

Clutch strength is measured in tq. so how much tq you want to hold? 700 wtq requires deeeeep *** pockets to maintain. exedy triple, but once you go high tq everything changes. be careful and have lots of cash

Not sure what hp and tq it will have for sure just going off what i was told. I am looking for info on clutches other members have used with or w/out any problems. Im building a 35r DD IX w/exedy twin and this car will be more of a weekend track car, but not just a track car. Has the new QM had a lot of testing yet? I have heard of lockout w/old. Thanks

The clutches are measured in torque, not horsepower. Look into the OS giken

Does yours goes hard on first/reverse with the hyd TOB? Can you feather out of a stoplight?

I have the triple pull style. 540tq.

I had a twin pull before this clutch and it was very hard to feather it out but I have no problems at all with the hydraulic AMS setup. Shifts nice in to first and reverse as well.

Pirana my build is very close to yours all ams bolt ons and 850r. The only big differances are 2.0, magnus intake, GSC S3 cams and a MAP race ported head.

I have the new design Exedy triple cerametalic and I like it alot.

As others have said torque is what you need to know, but a triple would definitely have you covered.

I have no issues when driving. I do have issues when stopped. Hard to get into first and reverse. But perfect during runs. Very loud though.

I've had the new quartermaster twin for about a month now and love it. I havent had any lockout issues, 360whp. Very smooth engagement and not too stiff, but has a bit of a squeak when engaging 1st from a stop. Its also quite light.

??? the OP wants a clutch to support high torque/hp, you are sitting at 360hp and probably 340 or so tq, he doesnt need your opinion on your clutch. The oem clutch will hold your power.

On a second note, im at 585 tq 700 hp and ive got the exedy triple, it's a fantastic clutch, i have no issues.

he does have a clutch that supports high hp and thats what the op was looking for while 340tq is not much its still nice to no a redesigned clutch is doing well exedy triple here as well.
