anyone running MIL.SPEC cat?

if anyone's replaced a test pipe with a Mil.spec cat, are the fumes less harsh at all sitting @ idle or cruise? have you noticed much of a restriction? -thanks

How would you smell anything at cruise? I recently switched from a tp to a mil.spec hfc and it's nice not getting a plume of exhausts in your face when you stop at a light. My car didn't seem to lose much power from and IIRC it only lost ~8whp over a test pipe when Bryan @ Gst tested it.

I looked thru my cat before I installed. Doesn't look very restrictive. No smell here. And lots of miles on it and hasn't come apart yet, lol

You know what i mean Homie
GST tested it, i looked for info- must have missed it. Wonder if that minor restriction has an effect on the tune at all.

Have you ever had one come apart on you i'n an aftermarket exhaust? It's the worst, i had pieces pinging around all over the place, talk about annoying.

Yes, but it was because the car was running way too rich loaded up the cat and it melted and broke apart. Shaking it out of a exhaust is a real pain, LOL
