First Evo 8, Need some help plz. No start.

So i just bought an Evo 8 from USA, and I have videos of the car driving fine right before it was shipped out, and even loaded no problem onto the car carrier, but when we picked it up from the storage yard, the car carrier driver said it wouldnt start on the carrier and needed to be pushed off.

So we tried putting a gallon of gas in it, and nothing.

tried to jump it with a jumper pack, nothing.

tried to jump it with tow cables from the tow truck, nothing.

Smelt fuel near engine bay after many many attempts to start, so I assumed the fuel pump is working...

every attempt just cranks the engine, but doesnt start it.

So we bring a scan tool, (after reading alot on this forum about how the cars dont start etc...) I was expecting a CEL, with possibly a Code like Crank or Cam Sensor.

Still nothing, No new or Stored codes.

It has Coil over spark ignition, and I do not have stock to revert back to compare... but can you EVO'ers please give me some tips or other guidelines what to check in this situation?

I will try to check if spark happens next.

Maybe the valet mode is on. Turn the key forward and hold the throttle down for a few seconds (if it isnt already blinking when you turn it on) and see if it either stops blinking or blinks slow. Other than that make sure the ECU is even plugged in.

Can you hear the fuel pump?

Like John said, check the ecu if it's connected. Maybe the previous owner disconnected it.

the previous owner claims he did nothing out of the ordinary and the car has never had a no start issue, unless its super cold. it does have 1000cc injectors.

can you please explain further about Valet mode? i dont know what u mean by this

Ok, so there is no Valet mode. When I put the key in, and turn it to ON, the CEL light doesnt flash repeatedly.

and if i press the gas pedal down for upto 10 seconds, it doesnt change the CEL light at all. doesnt flash.

i pulled the spark plugs out, and smelt alot of fuel. plugs were fouled, and seemed like it was pig rich or flooded with gas.
