Upgraded -8 fuel lines now super high fuel psi

Hey guys,

Upgraded my fuel lines from the rail back to the
Tank to -8 and I'm getting super high fuel pressure
And can't control it by the regulator .
Brand new aeromotive , am I missing a step
In this process? Running a BR double pumper , rail
And Fic 1680' injectors.
The car was running great before we did the lines
And even a few days after. The car is so rich at idle it went from
14.7 to 11.5 and under
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would think the issue has to be with your regulator. Can the return line handle the extra volume of fuel?

I remember reading something a year or so ago about the Aeromotive regulators having sealing issues with the ball and seat causing some weird stuff, might want to look into that.

Weird. I sent it back to summit and they sent me a new one
I put it in earlier and same issue.
I'm not sure about it not handling the flow
I know several 9 sec hondas with it and no issues
But not sure how different That is , being a universal part and all.

So I pulled out the fuel pump assembly
And my friend suggested we remove the "T"
altogether instead of drilling it out. The car holds
43psi fuel psi at idle now no problem.
My other friend says that it feeds the left side of the tank
So I may have to do it all over. Sucks because it looks like
It just sprays straight Down into the tank.

I just ran them the same as the factory ones,
Tucked away and tied nice and neat. I also removed
All factory lines. I'm running the Buschur double pumper
With aeromotive regulator and the aeromotie billet inline filter.
I need to pull the fuel pump assembly out and drill out the "T"
an reinstall it and I'll be good. Fuel pressure is back to normal.
Thanks to everyone with advice , that link from earlier solved
The problem- drill out the T .

Are you running both pumps on all the time....even at idle?

No. Its the Buschur kit. Uses a Hobbs switch.

If you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge, then what was the fuel pressure reading?

It was reading between 60-80 psi the needle was very erratic
After I removed the T it stopped and went back to normal.
Now I need to pull the pump assembly back out and add the T
Back in , after I drill it out. I wonder if I could just add another T
Of some kind .
