Spark Blowout, bpr vs br?
Regular bpr8eix, plugs looked mint, running e85 so there gonna be pretty clean. They were a little wet with fuel when i did a wot pull and shut off right when the blowout happened. No signs of knock, det, over heating or anything. I also tryed 2 differnt sets of them.
I'm on a ported 9 turbo running 26-27 psi on 91 octane. I've run BPR7ES, BR7ES, BPR8ES, BR8ES, and the iridium BPR7EIX, BR7EIX, BPR8EIX (when I could still find them) and now finally BR8EIX.
The BR8ES and BR8EIX behave almost the same. If you have your car fine tuned, switching from one to the other will change the way the car drives a bit.
I've finally settled on the BR8EIX because of two main things. 1) The Iridium plug I can run a slightly larger gap before spark blow out. 2) The Iridium plug returns better fuel mileage
On the copper BR8ES I run a .022 gap. While the Iridium will let me run .024
