Hey guys, i really need some help. Does any one know the difference between the 2.0 vs 2.3 setup well? Stock evo motor should have 150mm rods with an 88mm crank and std pistons.

Now, my main question is.....when you go 2.3 you go to a 100mm crank, but are the rods the same 150mm and just a 2.3 stroker pistons with an offset wrist pin??

 

Yes i believe that is correct, when building the motor you will need to dremel out some of the edge of the cylinder for the motor to rotate

 

2.3 build has 100mm crank (4g64) same size rods! Im in the process of building mine, only had to bend the oil squirters a little so they wouldnt hit the bottom of the piston skirt, because of the increase in stroke! My manley h beams cleared because the rod cap bolts are shorter than on the stock rod caps

 

Different brand rods may have to be clearance differently. Only way to find out is to assemble the bottom end and rotate it by hand to find out. Some rods are physically beefier and may require clearancing of the block and/or windage tray.
