What next?

I'd like to know what way some of you would go. I have a little cash coming up for tuning and I'm debating either an ETS 3.5 inch intercooler or GSC S2 cams and injectors. Ultimately I think I'll be doing both but don't have the cash for both and a tune now. The rest of my mods are in the sig. Looking for opinions and why if you have the time. Additionally, what size injectors?
my long term goal is a quick spooling fun to drive street car. I'm thinking a white rabbit turbo or maybe something else that spools quick. I'd like to make about 400 or so Whp. My car will never see a track and is primarily a DD. Thanks in advance for your help!

id say depending on your mods, get your cams and injectors and tune done at once, the cams will make more power with yoursetup, however the 3.5" ets intercooler should drop inlet temps which will help make more power and make the car more knock resistant, but hp per dollar the cams and injectors...get a safe tune, then swap in the intercooler and have a couple of datalogs done to see how its running after...that would be my advice.

You could buy injectors, I would personally buy cams and the intercooler, if you can. I just say that, cause you are on stock turbo still. Stock injectors usually provide the fuel for a stock turbo for quite some time. I would get the intercooler and cams. As for the intercooler, do you think you really need the 3.5" core? There are plenty of guys making 400+whp on the 3" core, right?

I made 330whp on my old evo 8, stock turbo @27psi, injectors, 3" ebay intercooler, injen intercooler piping and ebay exhaust.

I think the car would wake up with the cams, the intercooler will def help temps. Just roll on stock injectors for now.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you, I made 301 WHP on buschur's dyno with an ebay turbo back, intake filter, 22psi, and LICP. I thin I'm going to do do a FMIC first (ETS 3" or 3.5", trying to decide now) and then add cams for a retune. I'm hoping with cams and the FMIC, I can hit ~350whp on buschur's dyno.

Tuner says I'm out of fuel now so I think that means I will need injectors if I get cams. I could be wrong here though. Figure I might as well have the 3.5in intercooler since it fits and only costs $100 more.

thus my point of get the injectors and cams man, haha.....so if your goal is 400 hp or around there, go with 1000cc injectors thus assuming you also have an upgraded fuel pump, as for your cams like I said look into the gsc s2 cams, as far as springs/retainers, as long as you stay around the stock rev limit you should be good for now. As for the intercooler dont go 3" it will work for most people but once you start pushin the 400 hp limit you might run into inlet temps climbing. But if your set on a 3" intercooler, i will be having an XS engineering ic for sale soon which did a great job for me till i got bit by the power bug, and will also have a licp and uicp for sale soon as well for it. Although youll need a small battery or relocation to make it work since its 3". haha. So thus back to my point, cams injectors, get tuned. Save up and buy an intercooler down the road, since you live in Oregon you guys dont get hot temps in summer up there do you?

your not going to make 400 whp with a stock turbo boss. those that do are working the dog **** out of it and its not at 400 whp for long anywho. Now if you want to get close to that whp range then thats doable for sure. Dont get anything less then a 3.5 inch intercooler dont waste your time with it. as far as injectors go if your staying on pump then 1000cc PTE/Fic are perfect get 1450cc injectors if going with e85cams look into s2 or fp4prs. you are going to need to upgrade turbos later to make the setup more effective like a hta green or bbk full to get that monster spool effect

Getting the turbo later is my plan, maybe next year. For now I just want to maximize the power I can get out of the stock turbo. The 400 whp is just a number that seems safe for the stock block. I'm mostly looking for fun to drive around and don't really need mega hp to satisfy myself. I like the quick spool of the stock turbo and would like to stay with something as quick or quicker than the stock turbo.

After reading the GSC website, maybe the s1 would be better for my needs than the S2. I'd be real happy to make another 30-50 hp just from cams and injectors and a retune. Is this realistic? (this is what it says on the GSC website for the S1 cam)
