I'm on the EFR bandwagon now, so I'm giving Chad some breathing room.

Now I just give him terrible ideas like titanium prop rods and billet aluminum uprights.

Great job! So w/o you, the car weighs about 2700ish with an empty tank?

Off hand does anyone know the difference between the HKS 7460R, and the CBRD BBK-Full with respect to the relative air flow of their compressors? Which of the two turbos moves more air? I am leaning more toward the BB BBK-Full whenever it is finally introduced onto the market by Chad(hint!).

I dyno'd with very similar mods to another NW guy. I had the HKS and he had the BBK full.

The dyno plots overlayed on top of each other. A BB BBK will be better IMO because it has a larger turbine housing.

A BBK with a BB CHRA > HKS7460 IMO.

Right now I'm planning on a tall-deck, long rodded 2.2L with some "special" goodies. As for tires, I was on 5 year old Hoosier QTP's. I know just getting some fresh tires would be good for a couple tenths at least.

Very nice...With that setup you may end up pushing the BBK Full a bit much, obviously Chad would know better then me. A BB BBK-B would be badass with that motor!

On the same boost as each other? When does the 7460 outlet temp start getting out of hand?

Chad - how far off is a BB BBK-full im so close to pulling the trigger on a 7460

I think it was 33psi for the BBK full and 36 for my HKS. Of course the boost tapers on both, so it's pretty close.

Check out the 7460 theads... I posted both of our graphs... they overlay perfectly.

Eric is right - I think it was ~33psi .. my car wanted to taper a bunch so I forget what (psi) it was running at 7k. It was always around 485-487whp IIRC. That was a fun Saturday dude!

thanks for insight eric-

The BBK is a nice turbo- ball bearing price increases because of the antisurge cover etc---

for most people- the JB BBK full is the right choice and has amazing reliability!
