Greddy turbo timer question HELP A NOOB.

So I just bought an 03 evo VIII today, and I rode around for about......... emmmmm ten hours. I turned the car off about 10 times today, possibly 15, and out of that 15, about 3 times the turbo timer didn't keep the car on, and I get an oil pressure red light warning on my gauges. Should I be worried? The guy I bought it from said there is some type of sensor that can detect if the engine NEEDS to be kept on, and for how long. BUT, two of the three times, I KNOW for a fact I had gotten on it pretty good. Is this possible, or rather, COULD that statement be true...... and if not, what should I do to fix it if this will cause issues? Any and all advice welcomed.

Did you have your e brake on the times it didn't stay on? Mine is wired to shut the car off if the e brake is not on.

Do you get the oil pressure warning light when it's idling with and without the key in (running obviously)? Did you check your oil level? Does it have an oil pressure gauge? Just in case check your oil level before you drive it again, plus I dont trust anyone when I buy a car/anything from anyone I go over everything before I use it especially give it a good beating

well ive got a greddy turbo timer as well, like someone posted you can wire it in to wear if the ebrake is engaged then the car will turn off i dont have mine hooked up, your oil pressure light shouldnt be coming on at all even with that wired in, like the other guy above posted check your oil level and the condition of the oil first, that light goes on usually if your low on oil, or if your startin to have a problem with the oil sending unit....good luck man get it checked out soon.

NO NO, not my oil light, my oil pressure defi gauge warning light goes off, as I have it set to warn at 5lbs. And I had every oil and fluid changed the day I bought it...... oil, front and rear dif, transmission, transfer case, ect... done at Mitsubishi and they said it's THE CLEANEST 03 evo they have ever seen..... inside and out.

I'm picking up what you're throwing down but just because the engine is really making oil pressure doesnt mean the factory sender isn't faulty and making the light go off. Soooo check that factory sender
