EVO VIII Idle problem (with video)

Hi,

here's a video from my EVO VIII idle problem.... with what we check, most of my contact talk about IAC or TPS that may be the problem.

with your expertise, i want to confirm that theory.

Just to introduce you, my problem start when the car has been running for like one minute after be warm a little on the idle.

here's the vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbf7zKuGonY

So..you say "idle problem"

What's the problem?

I don't see cams listed in your mods but it sounds to me your car is cammed.

It's idling at ~1000rpms, the AFRs are doing what they should be on a cammed car.

Your vacuum looks about right 12-14in/hg

Does it have cams?

EDIT: ^^^^^^this guy beat me to it. I'm sure you're car has cams and you just dont know it.

loolll no cams in the car... i said the same thing to my friends.... sound's like cammed but for cheap price XD

i have the car since 2 years and i didn't put cam in it.

the car start this problem after a ride and it was a rainy day. I went home and a few hours later, the problem start... we check a lot of thing like injectors, vaccum, plugs, fuel pump, battery all the stuff but they found nothing....i've got a O2 sensor code and i change it but nothing... exept the code dissapear

so i call a guy that said : ohhh it should be the IAC, idle switch or TPS

so i want to be sure before buying pieces....

to be honest OP it wouldnt be your idle air control valve, because your idle will be surging and going up and down your stayed pretty consistent, now i have hks 272 cams, my car idles around the same as your as far as your afr 14.7-15.2 is what i have im running both the same gauges as yours. Now usually your tps will cause the afr to be erratic at idle....but will usually throw a cel code. Your best bet is to test the iac valve with a multimeter, test the resistance (ohms) on it turn it on with it out of the tb listen for it moving. As for lumpy idle without cams, maybe the starting of a bad lifter perhaps.

i just noticed something in your video, your vacuum lines by the fuel pressure regulator, they look old cut and not ziptied down, thats a vacuum leak that could be causing some of the erratic idle, best bet get new vacuum lines, replace all of it under hood zip tie it all reset the battery n see if it gets better.

I don't see what the problem is? The idle is solid, A/F is within range. It does have a slight lope to it.

I forgot what a stock engine looks like, been awhile
