Spacer to make it stick out EVEN further than it already does? I guess you could do a custom pulley but the pump sticks out further than a 2.0L already. Spacer is not the correct direction.

So the 2.4 pump sticks the pulley too far away from the motor? I think I'm finally getting some useful information here.

I'm pretty sure ER actually also makes a plate that is welded on to the block. The spacers always leak and I've actually seen some pics I'm pretty sure ER took that showed the turbine inside the water pump grind against the block when the spacer had an issue.

We dont have any plate. The pump is modded and then uses a gasket like normal. The pic of the ground up pump was the impeller pullling the spacer in since there is nothing to support the middle of the spacer to the block. It just floats and in this case was drawn into the pump itself.

We can but when I tried that one here it wasnt right. Wonder now if I got a misboxed one or there is a slight difference between the 4 & 8.

I can guarantee it does fit. It's the one on my car (4G64 block) and I've sold a few to people doing the same conversion.

With the Evo IV seperentine setup only or also the VIII? Sorry to drag it on, but I know the one I tried DID NOT fit. I am starting to think maybe it was misboxed or some other way wasnt the same at least on the one we attempted. That part number is for the MIVEC 2.4 SOHC as I recall, an Outlander pump.
