i need help!! in a bad way w/ motor problems
it runs very well...ive put about 800 miles on it since i got it back ....it runs good, idles good and there is no crazy engine noise..just when i'm on it around 5k rpms i can feel i vibration in the pedals, just curious if thats maybe the knock/vibration the sensor is picking up but not sure...and also im not sure what kind of kit or if anything is in it...i bought it from insane speed, it was in a red line time attack car, they pulled it, broke it down dble checked everything put new studs in it and sent it to buschur to be installed.....long story short- the car made good dyno runs on old motor, blew up shortly after at buschur, car sat in there parking lot all winter, ordered the motor and they installed. drove motor for a month, broke it in to be safe, went back for another tune and it knocked..
well what happens is an eliminator kit, does that eliminates the balance shafts...if the balance shafts are in the vehicle but arent timed properly like for example if the timing belt is off a tooth, then ur car wont run right, if your balance shaft is out of time, it will cause a metal on metal vibration, now an eliminator kit is usually a stub shaft, with a plug and seal, so there is no balance shaft, upside to it is one less belt to replace, less harmonics, more oil pressure for the engine... so overall if the engine is built most builders recommend the balance shaft eliminator kit like my tuner suggested. so thats why I asked do you have an eliminator kit or the stock balance shafts in? if the balance shafts are in look into that as one possibility, or it could be somethin as simple as an exhaust part rubbing.
