FP WG actuator question!

Hello everybody!!!

I have a Fp Black with 25 psi WG actuator in my motor (never raced). In this moment I don´t have installed a boost control, so my question is. How much psi can charge the FP Black with that actuator?' 25 psi?? I will to start a email custom tune, so I need 18 psi for start. What can I do?

You should install a boost controller pronto. You need a boost gauge and some sort of device to control boost, before you start tuning that car.

Is the new Black turbo already installed on the car?

Yes, it is intalled on the car. I have a Grimmspeed manual boost controller.

I would like to know how much psi can charge the Black with that WG

Are you talking about the lowest boost setting that you can run with that actuator? Off the top of my head I kinda remember that the base pressure is about 20-21#. But, I am not sure since I haven't used that 25# actuator myself. I just kinda remember reading about it though.

Do you have one hose of your MBC connected to the compressor housing "J" pipe(discharge tube) and the other hose to the wastegate actuator?

It is fine, I'm not good at English either and I have lived in the US my entire life. lol:

Well you won't make less then 23-24psi. It may creep to 25psi out the top depending on the preload. If you didn't want more than 18psi you should have got the 18psi gate.

I don't want to confuse you though. Maybe you are asking what is the maximum boost level that you can run with that actuator?

Que quieres saber? Queires saber el nivel de boost mas bajo que se puede lograr con ese wastegate, o quieres saber el nivel mas alto? No creo que ese wastegate lo puedas hacer bajar a 18 libras de presion. Pero hay que intentarlo.

^ Google Translation: Do you know? Queiroz know the boost level lower than can be achieved with the wastegate, or want to know the highest level? Wastegate do not think that it can bring down to 18 pounds of pressure. But we must try.

I think that Mikey is correct. You'll have a hard time getting your turbo down to your desired 18# level with that 25# actuator installed.

If you can get a hold of an FP 18# actuator that would be your best bet. Otherwise bolt up the stock, Mitsu actuator from a IX turbo (not an VIII). The stock IX actuator should be serviceable from 18#-25# on your setup.

Thanks for the Google translation, Mikey. Mikey, aka, BLKCarbonEVO is a Moderator and he was gracious enough not to dock me for my posting in a language other than English against forum rules. It won't happen again.
