turbo heat endurance???

ok I have a few questions??? I run the silver state classic which is the worlds fastest road race... I run in the 140 class which has a tech speed of 165...

how well will the turbo hold up at about 150MPH which would be up in the 7K RPM range I'm guessing for an extended period of time... I will be at these speeds for around 36-40 minutes

what would you suggest in order to help with the car for the race...

I am already deciding between a water wetter or purple ice additive to reduce tempertures but I am looking for anything else

You will want a huge ****ing oil cooler and radiator. As long as the turbo is recieving oil at a reasonable temp and your water is in the typical range, you should be fine.

you shouldn't have any problems with that much air going through the car.

Perfect post. You may want to run it 3-5 min at that speed and see if the cooling can keep up. I am going to say NO, the car is not designed to do that. But we will find out. :-)

The only reason I mention the Buschur intercooler is that it sits lower than others and is claimed to allow more airflow to the radiator. The thing about it I don't like is the fact that you have to modify the undertray to get it to fit. If your going to change it anyway, this may be your best bet. The larger radiator/oil cooler about covers the rest. That is, unless you want to have your manifold/turbo hot side/O2 housing/downpipe coated... which, of course, will keep a **** load of heat away from the radiator.
