egr help

egr help

having problems with my egr, egr code came up right after i had my 2.3 built and i replaced the egr valve and it was fine for a while. getting the egr code again tho. anyone ever try removing the egr system altogether or ever use the egr block of plate from bushur?

Yes many people have...I have with no adverse effects...disable via periphery bits and remove. That easy. Just get the block off plate like you said.

there is a great write up how to do it. its real simple. basically just remove everything and cap a few open sources.

I made my own with a peace of 1/4" steel plate a hand hand grinder with cut off wheel and a drill bit. Simple cheep or for me free horse power.

Yes, read what others have said. You have to disable the EGR Code/s in the P-Bits of the rom. Also you should reach under the intake manifold theres a plug with wires and vac lines just unplug it and remove it and use a block off plate.

ya i had strictly modified flash my ecu im just waiting on the block of plate now be for i start removing everything

Benefits are basically a cleaner intake manifold. Unless it's broken and leaking, it should have no effect on WOT operation, and potentially a reduction in fuel milage, although I didn't notice any.
