You really dont lose much weight. I think its less than 15 lbs. Im not running one fwiw though...

I put mine back in after a got in a minor fender bender. Went years without one. One day got into a srsly minor collision and decided I didn't want to risk it. I run the BR 4" intercooler with ZERO trimming. I just manipulated the mounting brackets to make it fit.

You are right. I also think the inter cooler will work better because there are two long empty spaces in the bumper that are covered by the crash bar (if you look at the car from the front). With no crash bar there is nothing to block air.

I took mine out cause it doesn't fit with the Kinetic Motorsport FMIC. A car accident is going to crush it anyways.

what about chassis stiffness? is it somehow related? i know scoobies flex if one removed to install fmic

not really but the stock one is actually not that heavy.. not worth dropping the weight

Supposedly it is noticeable but a Cusco Power Front Brace can help with that but may not fit depending on which FMIC you run.
