Exedy twin lockout!!
^^ Its not really all that much, a Exedy Twin is anywhere from 1450-1700 or whatever (depends on were you get it from) and close to a G for install.....doesn't seem all that out of line....not saying that you couldn't get it done cheaper however.
I usually complain that you get all the cool things cheaper and have access to a lot more stuff in the U.S., but I'm happy we don't have to pay that much for the labor! a clutch job will be anywhere between 150-200$ here in Panama :P
I was starting to get this problem also before I pulled my motor. When I took my exedy twin apart I found almost all the wave springs on the floater plate broken. This would also prevent the clutches from fully disengaging. Also according to jacks transmissions he said he has seen a lot of the legs on the flywheel worn where the metal plates ride. This causes an indentation which would hold the metal plates in place with the clutch pedal down also preventing clutch to release properly.
