Kelford 272 fakes??!!?
Kelford 272 fakes??!!?
Ok, so I just received my new Kelfords from extremepsi.com on Friday, and opened up the boxes just to have a good drool over them but noticed something fishy. Now they both have the 8-tx272 etched in where it should be....... BUT I don't see the Kelford stamp im used to seeing in the middle of the cam somewhere on either of them. Is the stamp something they did on the older cams and no longer do, or is it possible to have some fake ones?
I honestly don’t know about the stamping but you could always use a micrometer to check and make sure you have the correct cam lift. And if you want to know for sure you can always check duration once installed.

I think it's just something they did on the older cams............. and I don't mean older like they have to be 5 years old or anything....... but like one said, on the BRAND new ones I don't see the stamp engraved into them.
Those stamps are done at the foundry level and given that Kelford uses the same foundry as we do its kind of luck of the draw if the blanks show up with logo's stamped in them or not. Some batch's have them some don't.
