Help me with cam selection

Have a 2.3 jackson auto machine built block with a built head. Trying to decide on a good cam choice. Will be running on 3585 and revving out to 8k. Currently have gsc s1s. Thinking about s2 or kilford 272. Wanna make the most power with minimal spool lost. Any input would be great thanks ?

I would go with the s2 or s3's. I dont personally have any experience but these are also the two i am narrowed down to for when i do my build.

S2's.

I wouldn't do an S3, a K280, or a T280 when only revving to 8k.

I agree. S2's and call it a day, you'll lose a fair amount more spool going up to the "280" cams, I doubt you'll lose much at all going from S1-S2.
