Shake When Going to Neutral
Shake When Going to Neutral
Ok so I've always thought that my trans felt a little awkward but I knew it would be different that the Hondas I was use to. I notice that certain times it's harder to get it to go into certain gears. Especially if it's a WOT high rpm shift but even at a dead stop its hard to put it in first or reverse. But to get to the point I was driving home after watching some fireworks and I was coming up to a stoplight so I pushed in the clutch and took the shifter out of 3rd and into neutral while pressing the brakes to slow down and it feels as if the transmission is shaking making vibrations in the whole car. Now I did a search but didn't really find anything that realy sounded like what I have. It seemed as if I was already stopped it wouldn't do it just sitting at a light but it was like when I would take it out of gear to decel it would do it. So I guess it would be when the clutch gets depressed and I put it into neutral. Seemed as if I put it into another gear real quick it wouldn't shake while in gear but out on decel/neutral coasting I guess you would say. Anyone have any suggestions at all? Prolly going to change trans fluid soon but If it's as jacked up as I think it is then that might just be a waste of money. Any help is apprecaited. Thanks.
Having a shep trans put in soon but is there anything else I should have done also drivetrain related? I mean with my new setup thats going to be done with the tranny install I should be about 400whp. I was told by the previous owner it has an exedy twin so I should be good there. Just don't know how much power the tcase and rear will hold. Trying to strengthen the weak links if you know what I mean.
