Setup suggestions vets?
With the cams I wouldn't worry about changing the retainers as long as you go with springs such as the GSC beehives or MAP beehives since they both work with stock retainers.
Very informative thank you guys I am actually going w. The gsc beehive springs and retainers, and hell I might as well buy pistons, connecting rods, and headbolts. I'm just not too sure which would work best w. My setup I did some research and i think I'm dropping the Fp Black for the Fp3586. Thanks for the input guys.
Also with the speed density thing is all I need a map sensor & what bar? Do you need anything else for it as well? Also I'm going to.list my final list for my setup I know its a pain in the *** but I would appreciate if someone could review it to make sure everything would sync up and that I'm not overlooking anything ie sensors, lines, clamps, nuts bolts ect it sounds stupid I just want to be prepared and have everything ready thanks again guys.
well evo8426 u wanna put your head on the line with stock retainers and aftermarket springs thats your deal, me personally if im changing the springs im changing the retainers, there right there, and if you have an issue, it required a lot of work to get the retainers and keepers off to replace the retainers, so why avoid that potential issue alltogether.
You must remove the head to install the retainers. My head was still on the car when the valve springs were swapped out to a stiffer spring. I don't know what issue any one has ever had with stock retainers but if you want to spend more money to pull the head go for it. But if it's not necessary then why bother? If I had a built motor I would have changed the retainers but my car is done at 400whp/400tq on stock block. It's not like my car is revved to 8000rpm, it still stays at the standard 7000-7400rpm limit for me.

My 3.5 bar sensor is good for 35psi of boost, any higher than that and you will want the 4 bar (Omnipower) or the 5 bar sensor (AEM).
Okay here is what I believe to be the finalized list please critique and let me know what I'm missing I mean everything, lines sensors ect will this all sync up correctly? Thanks guys

Thanks guys I know thus us a pain in the *** but I want to finalize this so I can order everything.

oh one thing if you plan on running a fp3586 turbo setup, then you cant run a megan 02 housing, and imo that turbo will boost creep with that 02 housing no doubt haha. but other then that, your setup looks solid, talk to the company that your gonna buy these parts from and ask them on the piston/rod combo, people will give different opinions reguarding it. As far as bolts, if you do go that in depth, buy the arp main studs, head studs, and rod studs. Good luck on your build hope you make a $hit ton of power.
If you want to take a chance and go cheaper you can get away with Eagle rods and JE pistons or if you want to spend a bit more, then you can get any of the more expensive combinations... MAP sells some rods made by Howard to their specs that would work fine or Oliver also makes a nice rod. A lot of people also like Manley Turbo Tuff I beams, you won't go wrong with any of those.
As far as using the fuel temp sensor for speed density, I personally wouldn't do that as it isn't measuring intake air temperature and the extra $30-$50 it will take to buy a GM temp sensor isn't exactly going to break the bank. The point of it is to see if your pressurized air is overheating and being able to compensate if it does. Preferably put the temperature sensor after the intercooler.

I got my short throw on ebay for like 20-30 dollars and it came with shift bushing for the base only.
You are going to need a turbo kit to go with the turbo. There are many good options for the kits Shearer, Full Race, ETS. I personally am drooling over Toxin Fab's work. I want to get a kit built around a Tial SS v-band turbine housing.

If going with an aftermarket turbo that is not stock frame you should purchase a turbo kit that will include the exh. mani, o2 housing, wastegate, dump tubes, and down pipe. You will also want the turbo oil feed/return lines and a slim line fan.
^^ what this guy said is correct if your buying an upgraded sized turbo kit, the kit should come with 02 housing. Now if your staying with a stock appearing turbo, im personally running the v1 titek 02 housing, i liked it and still do, welds on it are nice, one thing that invidia i didnt like is the 02 sensor relocating, and in some cases having to splice and extend the wiring fu*k that haha, so you can go cheap if you get a ported/coated megan 02 housing, but ive still heard of ppl on here have boost creep issues, with non ported versions. So my 0.02 titek, works, invidia over megan anyday.
again what turbo you gonna run? If its the fp3586, the only thing i would recommend is to ask the shop your buyin it from is how much they would charge to coat the hotside 02 housing. Drop under hood temps down some, which will help make more power in a sense.
