Sounds good, yes I'm planning on running the fp3586 I'm talking to Chad @ CBRD about my setup as well now I'm assuming that the fp 3586 isn't considered a stock frame turbo? Thanks for answering all my questions guys very helpful!

 

FP3586 is definitely not a stock frame turbo. You wouldn't want it to be with how much it flows. I am even tentative to try and mount my .63 hotside to one as I am assuming surge will suck ballz even more so then it already does with my regular 3582.

 

What boost level are you running when you surge? It is a normal 3582 not a HTA?

 

I run 32-33psi and in 4th gear even sometimes 3rd and above it will surge. It is non-HTA, but that is pretty normal for a large turbo on a small engine, especially since I have no head work and not too aggressive cams (HKS 272). Not enough flow in the engine at lower rpms to use all the air flow the turbo can produce.
