Setup suggestions vets?
Hey guys im in the process of building an evo kinda new to this stuff I didn't have my license for two years due to a D.U.I. so I bought all my parts in advanced. Here is what I have so far im open to new suggestions and anything else I need to buy thanks guys.
1.Synapse Bov
2.Autometer Cobalt Egt
3. Autometer Cobalt Fuel level
4.AEM Truboost
5.AEM Wideband
6.AEM Oil Pressure
7.AEM Volts
8.Hks 272/272 Cams
9.Cosworth timing belt
10.Fuel Injector Clinic 750cc injectors
11.Hks cam gears
12.Arp Headstuds
13.Stainless Steel upper and lower clutch line
14.Bushur Racing shifter base & under the hood bushings
15.Walboro 255lph fuel pump
16.Ets front mount
17.Exxedy twin disk clutch
18.Ets turbo back exhaust
19.Dunlop Dirreza Z1 tires
20.Apexi power intake
I was thinking about buying a magnus v5 intake manifold and I'm not sure what exhaust manny to get if there is anything else I need lemme know.

It all depends on your power goals. The intake mani might be overkill unless your looking for alot of power. What turbo are you planning to run? If stock or close to stock I would save my money and not get the mani. I myself am doing a GTX3071R and will only be running a stock ported one from buschur. Even at the power levels I am shooting for the ported stocker might have been overkill.
Yeah that makes sense I'm shooting for 600+HP or so on c16 I would like to hit at least 500 on pump gas I'm probably going to go w. An Fp red turbo at some point I'm basically trying to get down to every little thing ill need... Thanks for the input ant other suggestions?
Get a more agressive cam. I would also recommend getting a FP Black if you are looking for 500 whp on pump. Start saving to build the motor if you haven't already. Good luck with the build.
Fp Black, BR Double Pumper, bigger injectors, E85,Kelford 272's,MAP O2 dump, ETS Pipes and 3.5 fmic, Springs Retainers, Sell the HKS cams to some fan boy stuck in fast and the furious,IF your going to upgrade the timing belt/water pump etc use oem or gates, Forget the bs gauges and Profit. 500 hp is easy, forget the c16 >>>>>>e85<<<<<< magic fuel.

the map rev 3 works really well also. the magnus v5 is also a great part but personally i cant recommend it due to all the stuff that needs done to install it. the map rev3 is a direct bolt on with oem fitment.
FP black (ported if you dont mind sacrificing some spool for topend) or ETS GT3582R hta kit if you want more topend then bottom.
kelford 272, gsc s2, fp5r, cosworth, (cams)
buschur double pumper
fic 1450 to 2150cc injectors (2150 being overkill, but have extremely good drive ability characteristics)
hallman pro in car mbc (or if you prefer electronic then.. ecu boost 3 port - grimmspeed, gm, etc) or standalone (aem truboost, turbosmart, etc)
mil.spec 65mm tb
and so on. id highly recommend e85 over c16.. much much cheaper. (but requires the additional fuel as i displayed the double pumper and inj)

Hey thanks for all the input guys so what I'm taking from this go with a fp black, ditch the hks 272s and go with kelford cams. Also ditch the 255lph and go with br double pumper any other suggestions?
on a 9 the gsc s2's will have more gain. The fp black will allow you to reach it easily. you don't need 65 mm tb. map rev 3 and map tubular manifold if you got the Dough.
the ets 3.5" will be good and make sure to get tbolt clamps for everything. This way you'll have it all solid and nothing blowing off when tuning.
Is this a 6speed or 5 speed? I wouldnt build the motor just yet, see how each power level is first. 350 then 400 then 450 then e85 and keep the tq low. When you feel you need power, build the motor.
The perrin air filter makes good power over most regular intakes. Unless you go sd, but more setup and tuning needed. Stick with a perrin air filter and youll be good.
so: perrin intake, s2 cams, gsc beehive springs, retainers, fp black, fic 2150s and if you want to save money dont do gauges till the end.

whoever said you dont need an intake mani if your gonna run an fp black, come on, you must be an idiot. Your suckin in more air because of the larger turbo, dont you think the faster and more you can ingest in the engine the more power youll make. Some people have posted good info, but ditch the oil pressure and volts gauges not really needed, the cam gears since your a ix you can only install one cam gear, but gears arent really needed with a good set of cams. Forget the shifter and underhood bushings, the clutch lines yes when you pull the tranny swap those in. If you want 500+ then go map rev 2 or rev 3 intake mani and a 65 or bigger tb, that way no bottle necks. Although if youre looking into a FP Black, look into a bigger 02 housing, for a DD youll end up hating an 02 dump. As for cams from personal experience the hks 272 cams are a good choice for street, however theres not much of a power gain over stock ix cams, your best bet would be either kelford 272 cossie 272 or gsc s2 cams. And if your gonna do those spend the extra money, buy springs/ retainers since your doing arp headstuds at same time, that way you can rev to 8k+ no problem. Any other questions post on up.
I'd go bigger than the ETS 3.5 core for the Black, if it was me. The Black's compressor can move some serious air. At least get the ETS with a Garrett 3.8" core instead. There exists an almost unanimous consensus that the Garrett design is super effective at removing charge air heat. BTW, the same core is used in the BR "Race" IC, as well as in the CBRD IC.

Okay folks picked up the evo today dynoed at 350whp @ 19lbs and 400+ on 25lbs or so I'm told I love it already haha I have some stupid sounding ?s ill describe them the best I can
I'm hearing a winding noise in first gear when letting off the gas. Possibly gears?
2. The driver side plotted rotor has a thumping noise when you hit bumps it has a slight gouge in it I was told it might just wear down what else could this be a wheel bearing? Can this be prevented?
3. Whenever shifting hard sometimes there is a thump noise toward the middle to back of the car could this be a driveshaft problem anything to worry about?
4.Also there is a clicking noise sometimes when I let off the gas doesn't seem like much. And last whenever turning the wheel side to side there is a thumping noise could this be tire rubbing or something more serious? List any suggestions to fix or ideas of what this might be. thank you very much guys.
Side note ill be selling some stuff for an 06 evo soon ill make a list and post it here.
I think.I'm going stock turbo for awhile any suggestions on setups also I wanna increase top end a bit.

The whinning noise that you hear when you let off the gas in 1st gear could you describe it a bit more? I used to have a similar sound in 1st and 2nd when I'd let off the gas when approaching a stop sign etc. Is this what you are referring to?
