Stock Evo 9 Turbo Pressure

I'm only "THISSSSSS" close from purchasing an 2005 Evo 9 GSR. This specific car, according to the Defi gauge, runs at 1.7 bar overboost and holds at 1.4 bar. I vaguly remember the owner said he has flashed? the ECU but with no mechanical alteration.

Is it a normal boost pressure for Evo 9 stock?

1.4bar is roughly 20psi...so that sounds like it's pretty close to stock. Depending on which gauge you're using, they can be off by a few psi/bar.

I think you two need to reread his post. He said that the owner said that its already flashed.

So, to answer your question, yes this amount of boost can be had by altering the ECU.

Thanks for your link mate, I see that....
"How much boost is my car running stock? It depends on the year:
03-04s run 19.5psi at 3500rpm, which tapers to 16psi by 6500rpm
05-06s run 20.3psi at 3500rpm, which tapers to 17psi by 6500rpm"

So I guess my 05 Evo 9 runs at 20psi is pretty much stock (at least mechanical wise) thanks!
