Good luck man, and if you lose, ask him to race you on some twisty roads and see who comes superior!

squeeze my friend squeeze....

haha I dont know I think with your mods you will win but it will be VERY close... I say install the bottle for an extra 50-75 hp and just use it if you need it... I dont think any evo will have to use nitrous on many street cars but hey why not carry it to make the jaws drop...

You guys keep saying that the M3 will walk away from him on the big end, some said it tops out at 155mph. I thought the EVO ran up too 161mph before it was electronicaly shut down, or am I wrong? I know that the bigger motor will pull harder on the big end but if he has enough room the evo should start catching back up with the 6mph difference on top end. am I way off base here?

Your evo should beat the M3. There is no esl on mine... my top end is what i get at 7200 rpm which is around 265kmph ~ 165mph...

Ask someone to tune your car so your 10% of maximum power comes around 4500 RPM and peaks at 6500... your top end pulling power will be ridiculous and your torque should maintain within 30% of peak before you reach 7200... however, the sequential shifter of the M3 is fast, so you will have to learn how to shift fast....

one word of caution... its bad for your transmission and your centre differential....

Good luck... if you have around 250-280whp between 4500 and 6500, you should smoke the M3 all the way to 7000 rpm in top gear....

At the top end, power to weight ratio isn't nearly as important as aerodynamics. The E46 has the Evo OWNT in that department.

I say race him up to 120 mph.

Hey Slav, here's a tip... put ice cubes and 50% methanol with the water into your intercooler water spray container and set it on auto... spray your intercooler a couple of times before you launch....

Learning how to drive your car will help a lot.

A stock evo can and will run 13.1 if launched right.
