Evo 9 o2 sensors

Well I have an 06 mr. I am wanting to buy a full tbe. I need to have a bung for my wideband. Does the 9 have 2 o2 sensors? Im trying to figure out how to get the exhaust because I know I need the wb bung but what others are there?

Both VIII and IX have a front and rear O2 sensor. The rear is in a different location on the OEM exhaust. Same thing though

Front O2 in O2 Housing post turbo
Rear O2 behind the cat to monitor Cat efficiency

I heard I can have my tuner not use the rear o2 and it will work fine? WOuld that be a good place to put my wb? Im not going to be using a cat

I removed my rear 02 and plugged my wide band into it..not the best place for it but it was good enough according to my tuner (and he disabled the rear 02 so it wasn't a problem)

Yup you can disable it in the ECU and put WBO2 there

Thought the wb needed to be closer to the turbo on the dp?

It doesn't have to be, but it makes the readings a little more accurate. I had mine put into the down pipe right where the grommet is on the underside. That way you can run the wires directly into the vehicle.

Just take it to a muffler shop, they can weld the bung in for like $30. Just make sure they don't weld it any lower than 3:00.

Well im buyin a new dp. ANyone know of one such as buschur or ams that has a bung for a wb in it?
