about to tune my evo with bolt on's + cams, need some help

hey guys, as soon as i get cams, i think im taking my car in to get tuned. im just looking for the best cams that will still pass smog in Cali

anyway i had a few questions.

my car is a 05 MR, has a 3" TBE, LICP, walboro 255 pump (not installed yet) and then whatever cams i get (probably GSC S1 or some 264/272) and will be tuned at 25 psi most likely.

so my questions are:
with these mods, do i need to get bigger injectors then the stock ones?

and do i need to upgrade anything else when i put the cams in? (valve springs, retainers, cam gears?)

also can my JDM MR BOV hold up with the power i will have?

thanks for any help u guys can offer me

As far as I know there aren't any carb legal cams for the evo, but as long as it looks stock from the outside you should be ok. Whether you pass smog depends on the tune, so find a reputable tuner.

Check with manufacturer of cams to see if springs and retainers need to be upgraded.

You could use the stock injectors, but they may get maxed out with the tune. Mods to the fueling system is also not carb legal to my understanding.

At 25 psi, the BOV may leak but some peeps have had succes by doing the crush mod on it.

With the mods you listed plus cams, the stock fuel injectors will be just fine. Depending on what cams you go with will determine if you will need springs/retainers. You should not need springs/retainers with the GSC S1 cams, but will likely need them for S2 cams.
