? on exhaust install

I just got my rs-r gt2 catback and I tried to install it before I went to work but I ran into a few problems.
#1- The O2 sensor is a ***** to take off. Anyone have any tips?
#2- The exaust came with 2 clamps. One with a hanger and one without. I believe they are used to connect the two pipes together but dont know if I should use the one with the hanger or not, or do I use both? Is it my choice? What did you guys do?

Anyone in the socal area want to give me a hand Thanks.

#1 - try using wd-40 .. spray it on, let it sit a few and try again. You don't wanna strip that bolt :P

#2 - I hope someone else here can help.

Don't use WD-40... not sure if it uses any silicon, but it may harm the sensor.

Start the car up and let the pipe get warm. After it warms up, shut off the car. Make sure to wear gloves!!

Then take a big crescent wrench (adjustable wrench) and try turning the O2 sensor off. IF it doesn't turn, take a large hammer or mallet and give the wrench the 'business'.
Should come right off.

Come on, Gentlemen! Do the right thing. Get the correct size long socket and use a milling machine or die grinder to cut a lengthwise slot in the socket up to around 1.5" from the end. This is for the O2 wire. Do this, and it's a piece of cake. It also works on the other O2 sensor.

Sorry, but yours is not the right way, either. The right thing is to buy an O2 socket which already has the slot.

But MY way is much more FUN and REWARDING! Nothing like a big crescent wrench and the Ford tool (aka, heavy mallet) to make a tedious task enjoyable!

I have installed an exhast before so I know EXACTLY what to do.

Get a blow torch and heat up the O2 sensor.

Take your chances starting the car up in order to warm it.

Use all your clamps + hinges.
